Ferramonti Story of a Life
Pino Ambrosio's book "Ferramonti: Story of a Life" is not a historical essay, but an autobiographical novel inspired by a true story intertwined with the Ferramonti di Tarsia internment camp in Calabria.
The book celebrates the humanity and tolerance that characterized Ferramonti, through the emotional narration of a love story and a secret life that began in that camp.

Project
Casa Calabria International and writer Pino Ambrosio have joined forces to bring to light an extraordinary true love story between a Calabrian girl and a Jewish boy.
The project, titled "Ferramonti: Story of a Life," goes beyond a romance novel. It is a powerful testament to how love can and must triumph even in the deepest darkness, standing as a beacon of hope.
The place at the center of the narrative is the Ferramonti di Tarsia concentration camp in Calabria. This historic site is recognized as a Distinctive Identity Marker (MID) of the region for an exceptional reason: Ferramonti, despite being one of the largest internment camps in Italy, was the only one where no victims were recorded. This is also thanks to the Calabrian population, who, with acts of humanity and protection, worked to support the internees.
The ultimate goal is to make a film that not only celebrates this unique story but also sends a universal message: people can change destiny, and love is the force that always wins.
